Why Kpop?

I’ve been asked, “Why do you like Kpop?”

“K-pop” is referring to Korean pop music. No, I am not Korean. I’m Filipino-American, born and raised in Southern California. I don’t speak or understand the Korean language. I was raised in a Filipino household, with Tagalog being spoken to me on a daily basis. In middle school, my grandma took it upon herself to teach me elementary school level Tagalog reading and writing ( she was an elementary school teacher in the country).

The answer is simple: it’s because I genuinely like it. Groups like Big Bang and 2NE1 have a unique factor to their fashion sense and musical style. I’m drawn to their uniqueness. A majority of upbeat tunes, creative music videos, bright, bold fashion, and a genuine sense of gratitude and appreciation to their fans.

And for the record, I’m not a “slow jam” person….regardless of what language and musical genre. Happy upbeat tunes=a happy motivated Jen.

I am a Poshmark Addict

Poshmark-the addicting Iphone app that has opened the gateway to a whole new world of people, bargains, and miscellaneous “unique” item and fashion finds.

It is also a way to make a quick buck for some.

I on the other hand, am looking to “de-clutter” my life by letting go of many items that have just been sitting in my closets for a very long time.

As I’ve posted listings and made a few modest sales of my own, I’ve come to realize how wasteful and gluttonous I’ve been with material items all these years.

I have Poshmark to thank for that. It has been an added “therapeutic” outlet for me.
